Okay so this is something I have been working on really very hard! Maybe you feel the same and you need some guidance or maybe just a little support to help you get more organized and find better ways to plan your day.
I have to confess that I can be a total procrastinator sometimes! Shit I have been struggling with this most of my life. I have come to the realization that I tend to do all the fun things and put of the stuff that is actually really important sometimes. The reality is I have rubbed of on my 10 year old and that made me think and take massive action to correct it.
My daughter is 13 and to me such a great example of planning and organizing her day and week. She never forgets anything and she is always ready for what is on it’s way. I can see the calmness and piece of mind that resides within her. She will start a project and won’t stop until it is finished.
It made me realize that my method of planning is obviously not working always. She gets shit done and I am forever complaining that I don’t have enough time in my day….. Just plain bad planning on my side!! I have a morning ritual that I do every single morning. Part of that is to write my list for the day. I used to write a lot of stuff on my list without prioritizing them. That is where the confusion and overwhelming feelings take over my day.
Reality is…. I am just shitty at planning and I can totally turn that around. I have tried numerous methods in my life with little success. So I have started doing research and looking at my best friend (who is super organized!) for ideas on how to organize my day better and have a more productive day. You have to find something that works for you. There is no one size fits all. We have different lifestyles and different personalities.
I am sharing with you three different ideas that I have found. Maybe you resonate with one of them and it can change your life!
- Robin Sharma – “The way you start your day, determines the way you live your day”
2. Amy Landino – Time blocking

So my son and I are helping each other (like a little project) to keep to our lists and plan our day. So far so good! He went for bright post-its on his wall and I am using the daily planner. My head is more clear and organized and I am surprised how much I get done in a day! It gives you a sense of accomplishment to see all your ticks at the end of the day.
Create away and enjoy planning your perfect day every day!
